Introducing: Peaness

Backstory: We might as well get the Peaness / Penis puns out of the way now

“It’s been a long time since i’ve seen Peaness”

“Peaness – they should be a lot bigger”

“Peaness – The 7″ is enough, but I prefer the 12″ version”

Right you can stop giggling at the back now and start talking about the music

Peaness are a three piece indie-pop band from Chester, England making waves across the nation as well as playing gigs in Europe

As Chester doesn’t have a distinct music scene (Mansun on the legend league and Lee from Steps and Adam Rickett at the other end of the scale) in that true Mancunian fashion we’re kind of adopting them as our homegrown talent

“Oh George”, “Same Place” and “Ugly Veg” are without a doubt their best songs to date. At times it sounds like a throwback to Lauren Laverne’s Kenickie at their most indie pop.

Even when they touch on more serious subjects like Brexit they wrap it around in a jazzy indie pop song called “Breakfast”

Seeing the band live is where they really become infectious – the bond between the 3 girls who basically spend every song smiling and laughing with each and somehow manage to keep it together

If you could subscribe Peaness on the NHS the world would be a happier place

Sounds – you need a little Peaness in your life!

Key Track: “Oh George” – if you don’t love this song within the 1st 5 seconds, you simple don’t love music. Perfection
