‘Live At O2 Apollo Manchester’ – released on October 25th, which features a two disc double album and DVD, documenting the bands greatest live gig to date to a sold out 3500 capacity hometown Mancunian crowd in the iconic city centre venue.

Recorded in December 2018, the show was hailed by the Manchester Evening News as “a dream come true” (4/5) listeners will now be able to relive the bands towering triumph track-by-track with the release of this essential new live album, and those who attended can reminisce on a great night!
Frontman Aaron Starkie reflecting back on the event states “As a Manchester band it was always a dream to play the Apollo, a target we aimed for as we worked our way up through the city’s venues. To look out on all those people felt incredible, like a hard won celebration of our journey together. We’re really pleased to be able to share that evening with people now. Not only the three and a half thousand that leant their voices to the recording, but all the new people that have yet to discover our music. We hope everyone enjoys this document of our biggest gig so far.”
Available as a double CD & DVD package, or double splattered vinyl & DVD, as well as digitally, the album will be released on the Modern Sky UK label on 25th October 2019.
The Slow Readers Club will be screening highlights of the Live At The Apollo DVD at an intimate launch event at a secret location in Manchester city centre on November 7th this year. The event will also see the Readers take part in a Q+A session chaired by BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins and perform a short stripped-back live set. Priced at just £5 with numbers extremely limited, fans will be able to enter a ballot for tickets when they purchase a copy of the new album from theslowreadersclub.co.uk.
