After only recently being blessed by a brand new 6-track EP from Camden born Bakar, coming in at just over fifteen minutes – Will You Be My Yellow has a more personal and intimate feel, mesmerising listeners and shortening the distance between creator and listener. Today we hear new music from him; featuring on SebastiAn’s latest track ‘Sober‘, we see a hypnotic collaboration between Bakar and French producer Sébastien Akchoté, via Ed Banger Records.

You can listen to the track below:

The track comes ahead of SebastiAn’s latest album, Thirst, arriving 8th November 2019. This lands eight long years after his first album, Total, which slips between genres with confidence – perhaps this fluidity is what makes Bakar, not one to be pinned down by a certain style, a perfect collaboration. The eight years between the two albums has not meant that SebastiAn has been taking it easy, however. During these years, he has acted in and composed for movies, and produced for Frank Ocean and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

The eagerly anticipated new album will not feature SebastiAn himself, as he maintains his collaborative streak by featuring other artists, such as Gallant, Sparks, Syd, and Charlotte Gainsbourg to name a few.

Sober‘ is both elegant and dark, whilst also being polished and indicates towards a conceptually mesmerising album that we can’t wait for.
