LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO THIS HALLOWEEN WEEKEND? WE’VE HANDPICKED THE BEST OF THE BEST!

Although Halloween is *officially* over come midnight tonight, the festivities are not! Read on if you’re looking for something to do this weekend as we go through some of the best nights across the UK.

MANCHESTER

MAYFIELD DEPOT – ANNIE MAC’S HALLOWEEN SPECTACULAR

02/11/19

Annie Mac and her pals take over the Mayfield Depot, throwing the ultimate Halloween party. With a terrifyingly long list of guests, this isn’t one to miss! The Depot sees Annie Mac, Green Velvet, Denis Sulta, Mella Dee, KETAMA and Jaguar. Archive welcomes Special Request, Eclair Fifi, Kornel Kovacs, Nite Flei and Finn to name a few. Over in the Concourse, French groove master Folamour takes over, with help from The Vision, Tom Trago, Nightmares On Wax DJ and Grainger.

BAND ON THE WALL – MR SCRUFF KEEP IT UNREAL FT. SPECIAL GUEST DJ

02/11/19

The original Manchester residency for 20 years and counting. Mr. Scruff and his special guest DJ Mafalda roll up their sleeves for a 5 hour DJ session of jazz, soul, hip hop, funk, disco, deep house, reggae, afrobeat, latin, electro, techno, new wave and pretty much anything else you can think of to have the grooviest Saturday night. All they ask is that no one uses their phone on the dancefloor – be in the moment! We think that’s pretty fair.

LONDON

RED LION BALLROOM – MUSIC FOR HYPNAGOGIC STATES

01/11/19

We’re All Bats present a concert of live music, made especially for entering hypnagogic states – the state between wakefulness and sleep. Inspired by and encouraging lucid dreams in the realms of sound, the line up consists of Khan Brothers (master musicians of music drawn from Sufi rituals), Ex-Navi:Et (percussionist and electronic sound artist from Poland, presenting electro-acoustic music) and AHRKH (a solo project of A P Macarte, using Modular synthesiser and field recordings, exploring the relationship between sound and vision). A softer night if you’re all Halloween’d out.

THE CURTAIN – NIGHT OF THE LIVING MEMES HALLOWEEN PARTY

02/11/19

After two already pretty monumental Halloween parties, The Curtain again teams up with Bacardi. The theme this year is Night of the Living Memes, taking a look back on the quite frankly terrifying 2019 and getting through it the only way they know how – by laughing at cats on the internet. The night will be soundtracked by Soulection’s Jarreau Vandal and the lord-of-the-memes; @poundlandbandit. He’ll be playing a special set of 80s, disco and italo. What’s not to love?

LAKOTA NIGHTCLUB – EATS EVERYTHING’S HALLOWEEN DIGITAL SWITCH OFF

02/11/19

Maybe the spookiest thing to happen this weekend… NO PHONE?! The Digital Switch Off locks away your phone, letting you really get involve. Lakota are recreating the no holding back attitude that ravers had when Lakota first started in 1992. Anything goes in a digital switch off, you’re free to be whoever and whatever you want to be! Bristolian Eats Everything will be headlining, along with help from Lord Leopard and Little Gay Brother.
