Dear reader,
As the coronavirus has effected the closure of all shops including record // retail // venues etc where we distribute New Sounds, we have made the decision to delay the print of issue #2 until June. We have been advised by our distribution channels that this is the earliest indication that we may all be back to some kind of normality and re opening of shops, our beloved Record Store Day has also been postponed until June 20th 2020.
Until then we will be busy re editing to make our paper synch with timely features whilst still retaining some incredible features which are not time sensitive such as our cover and interview, an iconic and exclusive to NS shot of the Ramones outside of the White House and interview with their manager and fellow journalist Danny Fields. Our back cover features Self Esteem and interview with Rebecca Taylor about her rise and success in 2019!
Any artist which featured in our 12 for 20 or any feature around a timely release we will feature on our website and share on all our social media channels. We apologise to any band who won’t make the paper edition because of this but feel you will all understand this is the most logical decision to make in light of recent events.
