Single Review – Kelli-Leigh “Just For One Day”

Having achieved over half a billion streams across her previous tracks where Kelli-Leigh has featured as the vocalist on dance hits including the smash hits “More Than Friends” with James Hype, and “I Got U” with Duke Dumont and Jax Jones – Just For One Day demonstrates the range and soulful timbre of her voice perfectly. The song musically reflects the lyrics perfectly, offering a relaxing and positive mood throughout.

Just For One Day – Kelli-Leigh

Just For One Day offers a totally chilled and soulful vibe, where the songs lyrical content describes the lockdown life we’re all currently living. The lyrics “take a trip to my sofa, one hand on my controller” resonate so well given all of our current situations, but the upbeat pop melody of this track brings an uplifting sense of zen. Her bridge lyric “I’m gonna ghost the world, just for one day” describes my current life goals, and is probably something we should all do more often to find the peaceful feeling this song demonstrates and reset our mental clocks.

We’re loving the chilled pop direction Kelli-Leigh has taken with this release, and her previous release “Cotton Clouds”.
