Snowbombing releases statement on Facebook after the management of their Thursday night headliner announced their decision
The festival made the shock announcement early Thursday evening , just hours before festival goers were getting ready for Snowbombing’s Forrest Party, where the artist was due to perform later.
According to statement, late Wednesday evening security at the festival were alerted to the possibility of an attendee of the festival carrying a weapon.
Following strict security protocol, a small number of people were escorted to the nearest exit and searched. This included a member of STORMZY’s management team. No weapons were found.
Shortly after, the artists management team expressed their dissatisfaction with the way security dealt with the situation . Later the festival was told that STORMZY wouldn’t be performing.
Snowbombing apologised to the management team and assured that it would do everything in his power to fully understand what happened during the security alert, in order to prevent this from happening in the future.
