GUITARS
Slack’s #1 is his all stock Mike McCready 1959 Les Paul Standards built by the Gibson Custom Shop. For something with a P90 vintage vibe, he goes with his very clean 1958 Les Paul Jr, all stock except new frets.
Last but not least is Slack’s stock Gibson Collectors Choice 1959 Black Burst Les Paul Standard. All guitars are strung with DR Strings, gauged .010-.053.
AMPS
Slack runs two amps: a white Vox AC30head into a matching Vox 2X12 cab loaded with Celestion G12M Greenback Speakers, and a Friedman Small Box 50 running into a 2nd Vox 2X12 cab loaded with Celestion G12M Greenback Speakers.
FX/PEDALS
Slack runs a 1/4” cable from his guitar to a Polytune Tuner. From there the signal hits a Dunlop Volume pedal, a Fulltone Ultimate Octave, a no-name overdrive by CCX, a SoloDallas Schaffer Replica, a J. Rockett Audio Designs Archer overdrive, a Mythical Overdrive by Rimrock Effects, a MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe, a MXR Analog Chorus, a Strymon Flint and a Radial BigShot ABY splits the signal to both amps
