THE BACK STORY: Psychedelic post-punk band Yammerer started out rehearsing without a frontman or a name. The band found the missing part to their puzzle in Jason Corbett, through a Gumtree advert expressing the requirement of a “Can/The Fall type singer”. Although the band have refused to conform to a world of social media, they have been working in Liverpool’s underground scene, securing shows and supporting thriving acts.
The Liverpool based band consists of Jason Corbett, Garvin Cosgrove and Steve Dee on guitar, Conor Simpson on bass and Jason Dugdale on drums. Yammerer are known for entrancing audiences with their high energy performances and intentional improvisation on stage.
Since emerging on the Liverpool music scene, Yammerer have gone on to support acts such as Crack Cloud, Big Lad, Warmduscher and Duds. They have also earned spots on festivals such as Sounds From The Other City, Sound City, Radio 6 Closing Party, Thresholds Festival and Smithdown Road Festival.
Yammerer released their debut single ‘Poisonous Reptilian Colleagues & Co’ on Restless Bear Records earlier this year and are set to release their debut EP in October.
