‘Slyrydes are one of the three most exciting bands in Ireland right now’ John Kennedy Radio X

Slyrydes formed in Galway in 2013. High profile support gigs quickly followed with Fight Like Apes and Palma Violets and PEACE, on top of some festival appearances and regular headline shows around Ireland. In November 2018 Slyrydes recorded their first official release with Daniel Doherty (Fontaines DC, Vulpynes, Galants) at Darkland recording studios in Dublin. As a result of sending out preview copies of the single Mental Health in January 2019 Slyrydes were featured as one of the top 8 emerging Irish bands .

Mental Health grabbed the attention of many major radio stations being played frequently on Today fm, 2fm, RTE radio one, Radio Nova, BBC radio Foyle and Radio X in the UK as well as many regional stations. John Kennedy Radio X Said “Slyrydes are one of the three most exciting bands in Ireland right now including Fontaines DC and Murder Captal” Stephen McCauley has called the band “Urgent and stunning”

Mental Health was brought out on Bristol based record label “Donut Records”  Somewhere out there compilation album in July 2019.

Out Patience picks up where Mental Health left off. Ominous pounding bass and drums, swirling chaotic guitars and combative raw vocals. This is a song about running out of time.
