NEW SINGLE FROM THE EMPIRE POLICE

GRITTY FOUR PIECE HAILING FROM THE NORTH WEST RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘CINEMATIC DREAMS’

Hailing from the dizzy heights of Preston (and surrounding areas), indie rock group The Empire Police have already become an accomplished live act – they success has sky rocketed in the past couple of years and have gained an energetic fanbase through their exuberant live shows.

The group have released their latest single ‘Cinematic Dreams’, via These Bloody Thieves Records. A track that is equally gritty as it is raw and is a ready-made arena track (I’ve listened to it twice and I’m already humming it making my cup of tea). This isn’t your average indie-rock track though, the depth of the vocals and the instrumentals take it to another level.

It’s reminiscent of classic 2009 indie rock, it’s timeless and you’re never going to want to stop listening to it. The northern vocals of lead singer, Jordao Bassa, open the track, deep and with meaning they arrest your attention from the off. Exciting instrumentals come in from Harry Smith, Tom Hale and George Jacques and continue to push the track forward through the ebb and flow of heavier moments which ornament the track perfectly.

The musicianship of The Empire Police is executed impeccably throughout the track, and we can’t wait to hear what they come out with next.

Performing one last show this year in their hometown of Preston, you can catch The Empire Police at The Ferret with support from Bines and Ronda – grab your tickets while you can here.
