Manchester-based, dreamy chords and a mischievous smile that will light up the darkest of venues. Meet Killer Pascal, aka Charlie McDonnell, a newcomer on the scene who brings a refreshing sound of laid-back beats, backing harmonies and infectious bass lines all conveniently packaged into well-produced tunes.
A ‘killer’ (pardon the pun) example of this is his latest release ‘Lately’. The tune clearly demonstrates Pascals musical progression in such a short time. The shimmery chords from this man’s Telecaster combined with catchy lyrical content are sure to get you singing and fantasizing about that first beer garden pint after lockdown.
The track ‘In Time’, which is taken from his first debut EP, is well deserving of a mention. The tune again starts with his spacey guitar chords and infectious drum beat then adds this Beatles like backing vocal in the chorus.
Killer Pascal has progressed significantly despite the fact he has only been active for just over a year. I am really looking forward to listening to his latest musical endeavours and seeing him play live as soon as it’s safe to do so again.
