CARIBOU RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘HOME’ AND 2020 TOUR DATES

After half a decade, Caribou is finally back with new music – oh, and a 2020 tour too!

After recent years of sharing music as Daphni, Canadian producer Dan Snaith is finally back and kicking under his original moniker – Caribou. You can listen to the new single ‘Home’ below:

‘Home’, which features a sample of Gloria Barnes’ soulful track under the same name is the first release from Snaith since 2014 album Our Love. It premiered on Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ over on BBC Radio 1, where he said how he “kept returning to [Barnes’ track], meaning to do something with it but not knowing what.”

Snaith spoke of how had played the track to his friends, with several of them having felt like it was “speaking to their circumstances, about people close to them.” On the show, he reflected on how everyone has “had moments when something changes suddenly and catalyses a change in your whole life – when you need to go back to something familiar, pick up the pieces and start again.”

Caribou’s new material will be taken on the road next Spring, with the UK’s leg of the tour starting in Brighton on 30th March, and finishing at the O2 Academy in Brixton on 7th April. You can check out the full tour schedule below:
