SINGLE REVIEW: JAKE BUGG – ALL I NEED

1.5

MISSING: Jake Bugg

LAST SEEN: With an acoustic guitar, making good albums. 2012.

It had recently come to my attention that famous singer-songwriter Jake Bugg had seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth. I was only able to arrive at this worrying realisation after the release of the single ‘All I Need’. At first I was listening to the song with the same distaste I assume any person with working ears had for it, but when I found out that supposedly this was a song written and performed by ‘Jake Bugg’ I knew something was amiss. This pretender has seemingly stolen a once great songwriters’ identity and is dragging his name through the mud by releasing songs with middle of road, lowest-common-demonifuck lyrics like “I don’t think twice, cos I know my mind” and the incessant violin plucking’s of a toddler’s pop nightmare.

I implore anyone that might have any information, however small, to write in and let us know. Somewhere out there there’s a promising young folk singer tied to a chair and gagged and we owe it to him and his family to do all we can to bring the imposter that is going by the name ‘Jake Bugg’ to justice.

Have a listen to the track below, if you fancy:
